NUANCES & REFLECTIONS
with Eva Schildt & Karin Wiberg
Welcome to the world of Karin Wiberg and Eva Schildt – to a meeting between an artist’s and a designer's forms of expression.
Nuances & Reflections is an atmospheric exhibition where Karin's serene, pale sculptures of people and animals meet Eva's stylish creations of wood, coloured mouth-blown glass and mirrors, and textile art. Set in the castle’s Stone Hall, the artworks invite you into a poetic conversation with the historic surroundings.
The artists highlight our need for contemplation. The visitor is subtly guided into a dreamy installation that plays with the light from deep window niches, and where the observer and the art connect through reflections of themselves and the room.
Karin Wiberg
The artist and sculptor Karin Wiberg has exhibited widely both in Sweden and abroad. This is her second exhibition at Bosjökloster.
Karin's sculptures represent human emotions reflected in animals and animals with human expressions. They are created in burnt painted clay and concrete.
“My sculptures want to see you, they wonder who you are, where you come from and what you think and feel deep down. They want to meet you without intruding, they want to be there for you and be close to you – but a little off to the side. ”
Eva Schildt
Eva Schildt is a designer and interior architect. She works in Stockholm with both Swedish and international clients for whom she designs furniture, lighting, textiles and products. Materials and techniques differ, but nature and the poetic are always present in her work.
“The objects I have created are in the borderland between visual art, sculpture and ordinary mirrors. They are the austere and orderly contrast to Karin’s organic and living creatures. Our works of art momentarily meet in a mirror image. For me, that is the essence of the exhibition, the interesting part!”
Welcome to the opening on May 28 at 2 pm
The exhibition is open all days until September 24, 2023. See our opening hours.
